What is the Défi Petits Renards ?
An initiative of Dr. Pelletier, inspired by her love for cycling and for the children she accompanies on a daily basis, the Défi Petits Renards was born in 2020. The event was such a success, it lead this year to a new edition. Even more ambitious.
This summer, Dr. Pelletier and her husband Michel Gagné will embark on a major sporting challenge: touring Lac-Saint-Jean (256 km) by bike, all in one day. A third ambassador is joining us this year, Philippe Colangelo, and he aims to run his very first marathon (42 km). Our team and our ambassadors will rally all summer to raise funds for the programs offered in social pediatrics.
You can also be involved in the Défi Petits Renards! And it is quite simple. Take on the sporting challenge of your choice before August 30, 2021, make a donation to the Verdun Community Social Pediatrics Centre or share a childhood memory on your social networks to promote and shine light on Les Petits Renards.
All funds raised will be a 100% invested in our 210 children and adolescents, as well as their families.
Together, let's help support and promote the optimal development of our children.

Why should you support us?
In this period of instability and insecurity that makes children’s development even more fragile, the support of the community is more than essential to allow us to continue to carry out our mission. This campaign will allow us to expand our territory of intervention and make our social pediatric services available free of charge to children in the Greater South-West of Montreal, where the needs are major. We are full of ideas and projects to ensure the continuity of support for children and families in our territory.
The situation is worrying, 35 vulnerable children are currently on the waiting list and the current time for a first appointent is up to 5 months. We estimate that the cost of accompanying a child for a year is $ 1,800.
Supporting us means allowing a greater number of children to have regular follow-ups in our Community Social Pediatrics Centre.
