Healthy lifestyle

Healthy lifestyle habits for healthy growth and development.

"Sensitize and empower children and parents to healthy and responsible lifestyles."

Growing up healthy means understanding the impact of our daily actions on ourselves, others and our environment. We take on the challenge of raising awareness and accompanying children and their entourage in the practice of healthy lifestyle habits and more responsible consumption patterns.

Move and grow

Through this project, we encourage kids and their parents to come and move as a family, participating in sports and motor skills activities between June and October. The goal is to participate in large numbers in the BougeBouge Verdun’s run at the end of October.

The children are fortunate to be able to count on the valuable participation and involvement of Matthieu Proulx, a former player with the Montreal Alouettes, and his network of professional athletes.

Also, the École de cirque (circus school) of Verdun is a partner in our project Move and Grow by offering outdoor circus workshops.

We collaborate with the “Table de Concertation Famille” of Verdun to offer a range of activities for all ages.

Urban agriculture

Urban agriculture workshops in collaboration with the Grand Potager of Verdun have been set up since the beginning of June 2020. Children will be involved in the entire process of maturing and maintaining an urban garden. The long-term objective is to make children actors of a responsible consumption and nutrition, based on the principles of the short circuit, from production to transformation/nutrition.
